Boost 2.0 Elite Treadmill
Why Dixon High School needs an anti-gravity treadmill
At Dixon High School, we are committed to providing our athletes with the best resources to enhance performance, prevent injury, and foster long-term success. The Boost 2.0 Elite Treadmill is a cutting-edge anti-gravity treadmill designed to revolutionize training for our athletes.
Here's how this advanced technology can make a difference:
1. Injury Prevention and Recovery:
The Boost 2.0 allows athletes to train at reduced body weight, minimizing stress on joints, muscles, and tendon for athletes recovering from injuries or managing overuse issues, enabling them to stay active and maintain fitness, or facilitate blood circulation to injured areas without risking further harm.
Research demonstrates that anti-gravity treadmills play a pivotal role in improving recovery outcomes for athletes rehabilitating from ACL injuries. Studies show that reducing body weight by 20–50% during early rehabilitation can decrease joint forces by up to 50–70%, allowing athletes to safely perform running mechanics without overloading the healing ligament.
Athletes using anti-gravity treadmills often return to running 4–6 weeks earlier than those following traditional rehabilitation protocols.
A study published in The American Journal of Sports Medicine revealed that athletes who incorporated anti-gravity treadmill training experienced a 25% improvement in quadriceps strength symmetry and a 15% reduction in re-injury risk compared to those using standard rehabilitation tools.
The Boost 2.0 allows precise weight adjustments in 1% increments, providing unparalleled control to progress safely through their recovery journey. By incorporating this technology into Dixon High School’s athletic program, we can enhance ACL rehabilitation outcomes, minimize recovery timelines, and help our athletes confidently and effectively return to play.
2. Performance Enhancement:
By simulating reduced gravity, the Boost 2.0 allows athletes to increase their training volume and intensity without added strain. This helps improve speed, endurance, and overall conditioning while preserving peak physical health during the competitive season.
3. Year-Round Training:
Harsh Midwest winters and unpredictable weather often limit outdoor training opportunities. The Boost 2.0 provides a consistent, climate-controlled environment for athletes to safely and effectively train year-round, ensuring they stay prepared no matter the conditions.
4. Cutting-Edge Technology for Athletic Development:
The Boost 2.0 Elite Treadmill supports precise adjustments to body weight, speed, and incline, making it ideal for personalized training programs. This technology helps athletes target specific goals, from rehabilitation to maximizing sprint mechanics and endurance.
5. Competitive Edge for Our Program:
Incorporating a state-of-the-art treadmill like the Boost 2.0 positions Dixon High School as a leader in athletic development, attracting talented athletes within our district to participate in programs and demonstrating our commitment to excellence. It gives our teams the tools they need to compete at the highest levels.
